If we’ve chatted before, you know I’m such a sucker for details! I love getting to know each of my couples personally – how they met, how they got engaged, and alllll about the unique details that make their day even more special. A few weeks ago, I chatted about how to style your groom for the big day. So today, I thought I’d dive into some of my favorite luxury bridal details!
We’ve all seen those stunning and elevated photos of the bride’s details on her wedding day. Typically, they show off the wedding invitation, the bride’s shoes and jewelry, her ring (of course!) and some of those gorgeous florals she’s prepped for her day! As a photographer, I am always bringing along a bunch of styling tools to assist in the curation of these beautiful photos. But how do you know, as the bride, what to include?
No worries girl, I got you covered! Below are three bridal details I love to love.
Custom Invitation Suites
Sigh, swoon, and sigh again. Custom Invitation Suites sure do have a special place in my heart, friends. Your wedding day is yours, period. I often get the question if weddings start to become “rinse and repeat” and my answer is always, a big fat NOPE! Each couple is so supremely unique with their own love story and dreams for their wedding day.
Working with a designer to curate the perfect invitation for your day is such a beautiful opportunity to share your love story with your guests. I love seeing how couples integrate moments of their relationship or details of their wedding venue onto their invitation. Some designers I love working with are Painted by Pippa, KP Calligraphy and Co and Write Pretty for Me.
Ring Boxes
There are a few ways I love photographing rings on a wedding day! Sometimes, I like using a sweet ring dish or balancing that diamond of yours in a flower. But mostly, I love utilizing ring boxes! Ring boxes are a great way to tie in an extra element of customization through color. If you’re on the hunt for a perfect ring box, I typically suggest finding one that complements your invitation suite! Coordinating these colors is a sure way to add an extra heart throb moment to your photos. My all time favorite ring box company is The Mrs. Box!
Grooms, if you’re reading this, (wink wink, nudge nudge) gifting a Mrs. Box to your future wife, personalized with the letter of her *new* last name is sure to score you some brownie points 😉 Ring boxes give your luxury bridal details a little extra oomph and are sentimental, too!
Shoes
When I was little, my mom used to call me a “bag lady” because I LOVED buying new purses, backpacks, satchels, whatever! As I got older, I quickly became obsessed with SHOES and have dreamt about the shoes I’d wear on my wedding day. My dad and I always joke that I’ll be strutting my stuff down the aisle in a pair of white lace Christian Louboutin’s and hey, that is fine by me. I love the refined and cosmopolitan look of a gorgeous pair of red bottoms. Some other brands I love are Bella Belle Shoes or Jimmy Choo for a little something blue.
I hope you found these luxury bridal styling details helpful! As always, if you have any questions be sure to leave me a comment below or if you want to get in touch, head on over to my contact page! I’ve started booking weddings for the 2021 season and I’d love to meet you!
