Hi, I'm francesca.

The entire city of Florence feels like you’re walking through an artistically curated museum; where each artifact, each building, each boutique, each cobblestone is on display for your pleasure. It is a haven for dreaming, self exploration and urges you to find joy in curiosity. It is home to the most beautiful culture, buzzing with people and a perfect setting for an elopement.

Ponte Vecchio Florence

Rich in history, Florence is known as the birthplace of the poet, Dante, and is the home for artwork by Michelangelo and Raphael. Their artwork surrounds so many of the city’s iconic locations such as Palazzo Pitti and the Uffizi Gallery. When considering an elopement in Florence, you are integrating your love story into a larger masterpiece; one that has been in the making for years. It is a story adorned with history and legacy, one of art and style and one of meaning and design.

Florence, Italy architecture

Walking through the city today, you’ll find yourself mesmerized by the unification of the old world with the new. High fashion and luxurious brands can be found at every corner, and Sofia and Lorenzo’s styled elopement mimics the grandeur of the town. Boutiques like Salvatore Ferragamo, Saint Laurent, Valentino, and Gucci line the streets and create an artful juxtaposition to the beauty of the city.

In this styled elopement, the elevated style worn by Sofia and Lorenzo are expressed thoughtfully through her Amsale gown, Harriet Wilde shoes, and vintage pieces made by Victor Barbone and Megan Therese Couture. These stylistic choices when paired with the historic locations of the shoot create a conversation of mediums. Merging the stoic architecture and old world charm with that of today’s fashion trends and style is one of my favorite aspects of this shoot.

Sofia and Lorenzo’s styled elopement through the city’s most iconic locations showcase so much of the beauty surrounding this town. Strolling through Piazza al Duomo at sunset, while the city bustles around them is a testament to the life of Florence. There is always something to do or see, always something to experience with every one of your senses. Overlooking the famous Ponte Vecchio, Sofia and Lorenzo’s love feels grandeur, and reminds us of the all-encompassing feelings we have when falling in love. We finished up this session at suite at Palazzo Niccolini di Duomo that overlooked the Coppola di Duomo, Brunelleschi’s Dome. Though the city of Florence calls on us to join in its dance, it’s these quieter moments that find a home in our hearts as well and make the perfect ending to an elopement session.
