Jessica and Jake had such a beautiful wedding at the Mansion at Oyster Bay last fall. I truly adore all of the couples I have the opportunity to work with, but there’s something extra special when you feel as though the people you’re working with, just *get* you. That’s how it was with Jessica and Jake. Walking into Jessica’s childhood home on her wedding day and being welcomed in by her sweet family was such a special feeling. I have so thoroughly enjoyed working with Jessica and Jake and seeing all of their wedding day visions come to life brought me so much joy!
Jessica chose to get ready at her childhood home and her dad took so much pride in making sure the house was perfect for his little girl. Her house had the most glorious lofted walkway that made for the ideal location for details and getting ready portraits. Surrounded by her closest friends and family, Jessica had the most beautiful morning.
Meanwhile, over at the hotel, Jake carefully got ready to see his bride. Assisted by his brothers and his father, Jake slid on his navy blue suit. Tying in with the season, Jessica and Jake opted for a deep emerald green as their wedding color as represented in the bridesmaids velvet gowns along with the groomsmen bowties and invitation details as well.
Jessica and Jake got married at Jessica’s childhood church that was located down the street. This church was so quaint and meaningful for the couple and I loved seeing their vision come to life throughout the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, we all headed to their stunning venue, The Mansion at Oyster Bay for portraits, cocktail hour and of course, their celebration! The Mansion at Oyster Bay has a plethora of stunning spots for portraits. Using the facade of the venue as a backdrop, we captured Jessica and Jake’s wedding party and portraits of the two of them together.
Jessica and Jake had such a fun wedding party and their energy was everything! Their wedding party and families brought the party during the reception and I couldn’t help but tear up everytime one of their grandparents made their way to the dance floor. They even had a special anniversary dance for their parents and grandparents that had me swooning. Family is truly at the heart of everything that I do, and it was so special to see how close Jessica and Jake are with their own families!
