Emily and Christian had the perfect early summer engagement session in the West Village. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and we managed to sneak to so many favorite spots before the crowds of the city peered in. These two are such a beautiful pair! They’re planning a stunning wedding in Puglia, Italy for next September and it was such a joy to capture this sweet time as fiance’s.
Emily and Christian live in the city and adore walking through the West Village, TriBeca and Greenwich Village. Not much makes them happier than exploring the place they call home while stumbling to new restaurants and cafes.
For their West Village engagement session, Emily and Christian wanted to recreate that relaxed and joyful feeling they share when walking through their favorite part of Manhattan and even stop at a cafe to showcase their “foodie” lover side. Throughout our planning, we decided to take advantage of some of the beautifully vined buildings of the West Village and then headed to Partners Coffee for a quick break! There, we captured some romantic moments of the two of them sipping their coffee and chatting about their wedding plans. Afterwards, we ended the session by meeting up with Emily’s sister and their sweet dog, Hudson, for a few photos near Washington Square Park.
I simply adore customizing engagement sessions so that they feel truly authentic to each couple. Designing this West Village engagement session was no different and I just love how the images turned out! Take a look at some of my favorites below.
