Leah and Jack shared truly special nuptials at the Rosecliff Mansion this past October in a most intimate setting. These two celebrated their love and its milestones in a unique way throughout the year, showing tribute to the many facets of their lives. By doing so, they celebrated many wedding days throughout the year in both religious and cultural fashions before finally tying the knot and sharing a wedding ceremony at Rosecliff Mansion.
I adore how these two customized their wedding celebrations to fit their dreams, and it allowed for a special celebration at Rosecliff Mansion. Since the two were already married upon arrival in Newport, it allowed them to be free from high stress, settle into the day and celebrate with their loved ones. Their day began on a beautiful October morning in Newport. The skies were clear, the leaves had just begun to turn, and the air was crisp and fresh with joyful anticipation.
Leah and Jack got ready in the suite at The Marriott in Newport, which allowed them to have plenty of space and time to soak in the morning’s excitement. Upon arriving at their suite, I got right to work capturing their stunning wedding details that included an ornate handmade custom invitation suite by Every Little Something, heirloom jewelry from Leah’s grandmother, Badgley Mischka pumps and a newly gifted Rolex for Jack. Their details were some of my favorites to capture all season long, as the colors cohesively paired together to create a stunning scene for the day ahead.
Once the two were ready, we all headed over to Rosecliff Mansion. Built in the early 1900s, Rosecliff Mansion is the epitome of Gilded Age architecture. Its pronounced marble columns, intricate garden and detailed facade make it any photographer’s muse. I’ve dreamt of photographing at Rosecliff Mansion for years, and it was such a joy to be able to capture their intimate wedding here this past October. Leah arrived at Rosecliff Mansion in a vintage Rolls Royce, accompanied by her father. The presence of the Rolls Royce amidst the backdrop of Rosecliff Mansion embodied yet another moment of vintage elegance that was repeatedly woven throughout their day.
Leah and Jack shared an emotional First Look in the private garden adjacent to the Mansion. The golden light streamed through the trees, creating an ethereal and picturesque scene. From there, we captured regal portraits of the adoring Bride and Groom, making use of the Mansion’s luxurious grounds. The Mansion’s front facade became the perfect backdrop for Leah and Jack’s family portraits, before we headed inside for their intimate ceremony.
The interior of Rosecliff Mansion holds an air of wonder, romanticism, heritage and Old World Charm. I can only imagine the elaborate galas and balls that must’ve been held in these wondrous halls. Capturing their ceremony and reception details felt like a gift. The vibrant florals beautifully complemented the richly colored napkins, while the candelabras added a timeless grace, and enveloped the evening in a warm glow. Each detail felt meticulously chosen to showcase the love that Leah and Jack shared, while also their unique and graceful style. Their entire evening was full of celebration; a perfect harmony of color and light, making their special day truly unforgettable.
I can hardly wait until the next time I have the opportunity to photograph an intimate wedding at the regal Rosecliff Mansion. But until then, here are a few of my favorite images from their day.
