Me: “You’re such a trooper, Joe! You’ve been lifting him up all morning!”

Dad’s Response: “You kidding? This is just a regular Saturday morning in our house!”

That. That is why I love the families I photograph. Capturing their love is just an extension of their day, just an added bonus to their weekend plans.

I loved spending time with Lindsay, Joey and little Liam during their session a couple weeks ago. Liam is just about to turn 2 (on New Years Eve no less!) and Lindsay mentioned that their family hadn’t had a true “family photo”without her selfie hand in it, since Liam was born!

So you can imagine my excitement when Lindsay and I were finally able to lock in a date for these photos. **cue happy dance**

We set out early Saturday morning and headed to Tarrywile Park & Mansion in Danbury, Connecticut. The park is stunningly beautiful, despite the somewhat cloudy weather we experienced. There are so many different areas to explore, too! Between the barn, mansion and fields and fields of greenery, I was in photographer heaven. Joey and Lindsay both grew up in Danbury and took turns swapping stories with me about the area. It was so special to have a sneak peak of their family that morning, and this park was located right across the street from Lindsay’s high school!

At the park you can bet we ran, jumped, and leaped through the field to spark little Liam’s laughter. I swear, his laugh just bubbles over and enters straight into your heart. Don’t you just love when toddlers laugh? You can tell it just starts in their belly and erupts into the sweetest sound.
