Laura first contacted me months ago when her dream for the Black Sheep Gourmet began to take hold. Though not yet officially launched, The Black Sheep Gourmet is in the works of becoming a sensational catering and food company with a cutting edge style and charm based in New York City.
I was THRILLED when Laura reached out to FDP!
Not only because she is one of the most hilarious and good-natured people I’ve ever met – But because I love seeing other people strive for their dreams. She wanted to have photos taken for her website. Photos that embodied her personality, her brand as well as her cooking. As a business owner, it’s so important to have a strong brand through content as well as imagery. So I may or may not have geeked out at the fact that I got to help this girl with my photography. I couldn’t wait to bring Laura’s ideas to life just as she envisioned it!
After weeks of planning, Laura and I decided to head to One World Trade Center.
The art murals in contrast with the urban environment was a perfect way to showcase who she was. For her and the Black Sheep Gourmet, it’s more than just food, though that’s a big part. But it’s about making a connection with her clients and establishing a brand that lasts.
We had so much fun parading through the murals, chatting about branding and of course, allllll the recipes. Laura attended school at the Institute of Culinary Education and I was DROOLING during our session as she described recipe after recipe. I mean, seriously guys, she was heading back to her apartment after our session to blog about caramelized brussel sprouts. I never knew that vegetables could sound so heavenly.
I couldn’t be more excited to share this little sneak peak of photos with you all andgive you a *taste* of what’s to come with the Black Sheep Gourmet. HA! Taste…see what I did there 😉
