Melissa and Lorenzo’s romantic coastal engagement session was full of joy, laughter and so much of their sweet love. I adore their love story, ironically enough because it started much like my own! Melissa and Lorenzo went to high school together and began dating after attending their local fireman’s carnival in town. Now, 10 years later (almost to the day) we got to celebrate their beautiful engagement along the beach! 

When Melissa first contacted me back in January, she was buzzing with so many wonderful ideas for her session!  She loves the coastal views and her fiancé, Lorenzo, adores parks and greenery.  So, we headed to Rye Town Park and Beach to give them a little of both! When we set the date back in January, we could not have predicted the gorgeous sunset we were going to get on the day of their session! We had way too much fun chasing the stunning light, dipping our toes in the water and enjoying the beautiful sand, after 3 months in quarantine! 

I always love guiding my couples through a series of different poses, that feel natural and authentic to them. But my favorite part of this whole session was when Lorenzo just enveloped Melissa in a huge hug. The sun was setting behind them and I could see the pure joy on his face because he gets to marry this extraordinary woman.  

*Sigh* My heart is bursting just thinking about this moment!
