When planning a coastal session, there are so many outfit ideas and suggestions I can share with you. But sometimes, it’s the most simple and obvious selection that ties everything all together. The tasteful bathing suit combinations that Shaye Aaron chose for their outfits for a Laguna Beach Coastal Session are both seamless to the location, and add an air of the romanticism and playfulness to their session.

When planning Shaye and Aaron’s session, we had so much fun chatting through a variety of outfit ideas and selections for them. While I adore the perfect combination of a sun dress and a casual outfit, there was something extra special that struck us about the idea of swimsuits. So often at beach sessions, we dip our toes in the water, splash amongst the waves, and dig our feet in the sand. In this way, it seemed as if the best option to enjoy the celebration and experience of the session was to dive on in.

Finding swimsuit outfits that felt both flattering, comfortable and empowering for these two were important to me. During my sessions, I always say that I want to capture your remarkable love, and to do so, I find that it’s immensely important that you feel your very best. Pairing their swimsuits with a coverup and linen shirt, while also adding a few fun props like a straw hat, was the icing on the cake. The outfits they chose for their Laguna Beach coastal session not only played into the locale of Southern California, but also added an element of authenticity. As California natives, it was only fitting that we capture Shaye and Aaron amidst the beaches that they call home. Throughout their session, it felt genuine to them as if I was documenting their lifestyle here in California.
