As I’m writing this, it’s a rainy and bitter cold winter day in New York. So, it feels only fitting to dream upon warmer temperatures and reminisce on a perfect al fresco cocktail hour at Audrey’s Farmhouse last summer. Ellie and Tim’s summer wedding weekend in upstate New York was the ideal destination for these two. Audrey’s Farmhouse created the perfect oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and provided both a respite and an atmosphere for fanciful celebration. 

The sun gleamed as Ellie and Tim said “I Do.” This moment was made only more authentic by the presence of their sweet pup traipsing after them down the aisle. The two welcomed their guests into a serene and open air cocktail hour on the lawn of Audrey’s Farmhouse. The lawn, lined with lush greenery and a manicured pergola, was superbly intimate. Guests sought cocktails and refreshments at the outdoor bar, before heading over to the expertly designed charcuterie table. With immense gathering opportunities at free standing tables, it was just the sort of delightful preface to a summertime wedding that everyone dreams of. Champagne was flowing while guests mingled at this stunning al fresco cocktail hour. In the meantime, we were able to sneak Ellie and Tim away for a few photos amidst their very own greenhouse reception. 

Audrey’s Farmhouse offers creative opportunities unlike other venues in the area. With its many outdoor dining areas as well as its intimate greenhouse reception room, there are many ways to personalize each couple’s individual style. For Ellie and Tim, this meant a lot of lush greenery to mimic the al fresco nature of the evening, combined with crisp whites, pale blushes and muted gold tones.
