Welcome back, friends! It’s time for another engagement session feature! This time? It’s a sweet Central Park sunrise engagement session that is sure to make ya swoon! And even more than that, Caitlin and Brian’s love story is seriously what dreams are made of.
Caitlin and Brian’s Love Story
Have you ever seen the movie Leap Year with Amy Adams? If I’m honest, it’s one of my dad and I’s favorite movies to watch together! The premise of the story is about an old Celtic tradition that on leap year, a woman can propose to a man!
Well friends, this year was leap year 😉
Caitlin and Brian met while in college, so this year on February 29th, she took him back to where it all began to propose to him! Caitlin shared with me that leading up to the big day, she was so nervous and now understands how most guys feel! Beforehand, she even floated the idea to Brian to make sure this would be something he would be comfortable with. In her words, he thought it was totally “badass” and I just LOVED that about their relationship!
Ironically enough, the day that Caitlin proposed to Brian was the day that he was going to ask HER parents for their blessing. HOW CUTE?!
A few weeks later, Caitlin was working a full shift at the hospital. (She helps with organ and tissue donations. These two are seriously goals, you guys!). She ran back home for a few hours because it was also her birthday and Brian had a huge surprise waiting for her! Not only did she get to propose to the man of her dreams, but he proposed right back!
I couldn’t get enough of Caitlin and Brian’s sweet love story. It may be one of my favorite parts of this job I’m lucky enough to call mine. Every love story is so unique and when I learn about a new one, it’s like having the sweet opportunity to listen in on the heartbeat of a relationship.
Their Engagement Session
Caitlin and Brian, the true adventurers that they are, trusted me when I suggested that we schedule their Central Park engagement session at sunrise! Now, sunrise sessions aren’t for everyone and oh I totally understand that!! But on the rare occasions that they are, it’s worth it. The light. That golden hour glow. The sereneness of the park. Simply perfection.
I love scheduling my Central Park sessions for sunrise because the park is so much less crowded! Except for a few eager runners and bikers, it felt like we had the park to ourselves! We headed to Bethesda Fountain, Bow Bridge, The Mall and even headed out of the park for a few photos on CitiBikes! Caitlin and Brian love bike riding around the city on their days off, so we had to be sure to grab a few photos of them on the bikes! These last few photos ended up being some of my favorite because we were able to really capture what they love to do together as a couple!
