Carolina + Francisco

The sun beamed as brightly as Carolina’s smile for their sweet elopement in April at New Jersey City Hall. These two met while Carolina was in college at Marist (my alma mater, too!) and have been together for 10 years. About a month prior to their 10 year dating anniversary, she reached out to tell me they were going to be eloping that day! I seriously burst with excitement when she told me the news and couldn’t wait to capture her and Francisco’s incredible vision for the day. 

Surrounded by close friends and family, these two said “I Do” at the City Hall in Jersey City. As soon as I pulled up that day, I knew it was going to be a spectacular elopement. Not only have I known Carolina and her family for years, but the City Hall was spectacular! You guys know I am constantly inspired by beautiful architecture and this building fueled my heart so much! I know that may sound funny to say, but can’t a girl just enjoy beautiful buildings?! 

Upon arriving at City Hall, I immediately felt the giddy energy that Carolina and Francisco had. She burst in the doors saying, “I’M GETTING MARRIED TODAY!!” Followed by Francisco’s sweet knowing laughter that he found the woman he was meant to spend the rest of his life with. Moments like this are what I live for, they’re why I do what I do. I love the giddy excitement my couples feel in the moments leading up to their vows. Because they know they’ve hit the biggest jackpot of all: a forever friend, a lifelong love and a partner in crime through thick and thin. 

Carolina and Francisco are a perfect pair and throughout the day I noticed their love for each other growing stronger with each passing glance. His light-hearted, goofy nature and her sunshine radiance could be felt for miles. 

Following their nuptials, we headed to Liberty State Park overlooking Manhattan and it was STUNNING. It was as if they phoned in a call to the big man upstairs and asked for beautiful spring weather and sunshine to soak down on them. Liberty State Park has dozens upon dozens of gorgeous backdrops and locations for photo opportunities and we captured as much as we could!
