Flashback approximately four years ago, standing in a sweaty dance studio with 30+ other ensemble members preparing for our fall showcase. In walks one of the most charismatic, hilarious, and generous men I’ve ever met; so naturally, I had to become instant friends with him. Nick and I first met in our college’s extracurricular dance ensemble program and seemed to pop, lock, and drop it all the way to graduation day.

When I posted on my Instagram about offering Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions, Nick messaged me asking for all the details because he wanted to surprise his boyfriend for their 6 month anniversary! I mean, come on people….How cute is that?

When the day finally came, Nick and his boyfriend, Jeff, walked into a quaint coffee shop in New Rochelle, R Cafe and Tea Boutique. I threw my arms around the two of them (I’m a hugger) and ushered them to both sit down and tell me all about how they met and the cute lil details. Jeff still had NO idea why he was meeting me or what was going on. Did I mention that surprises are my favorite?

Eventually, we spilled our secret and brought Jeff over to Glen Island Park. It was a bit chilly but the two of them were SUCH good sports! Nick and Jeff’s connection seemed to ignite a spark that kept us all warm on the cold, winter day – I mean, look at this laughter, friends!
