When I think back to Alisa and Eric’s wedding, the words that come to mind are love, legacy and warmth.
These two tied the knot just over a week ago and still, I am overwhelmed by the beauty of their day. Alisa and Eric wed at the scenic and historic Locust Grove Estate in Poughkeepsie, New York. It was beautifully intimate as they were surrounded by close family and friends. Though the weather called for rain, these two didn’t let anything dull their shine!
And just as Eric so perfectly put it during his toast, “all of their favorite people were together in one room,” when they vowed to each other as Husband and Wife.
I couldn’t have said it better myself! That’s just how a wedding should be! The unity of two families becoming one and the joining in love and celebration.
There’s always a moment during a wedding day that moves me to tears. Sometimes its the walk down the aisle, other times it’s the Father/Daughter dance – but it’s always different for every couple and family. At Alisa and Eric’s wedding, I felt myself tearing up as Alisa’s mom first saw her daughter in a wedding dress. I can only imagine how she felt to see her baby girl as a bride.
Alisa and Eric, you two are surrounded by so much joy, support, and love.
It was extraordinarily apparent on all of the faces of your guests. Your family and friends laughed with you during the toasts, teared up with you during your vows, and celebrated with you during all of the rest! You two will always hold a special place in my heart as being the couple of my first wedding photographed. I am so honored to have captured your special day!
I hope you two are loving every moment as newlyweds!
