Hi friends!

Welcome to the FDP Blog, I’m so thrilled you stopped by to learn a little more about the girl behind the lens!

Here’s the scoop – I’m Francesca Dominique and I come from a big Italian family. My parents are high school sweethearts and have been married 32 years now. They had three children, of which I am the youngest. My brother and sister are twins and we’ve all developed very different career paths despite how close we are. My brother works for a real estate development company in New York City while my sister saves the world, one student at a time.

I first fell in love with photography while my sister was taking a darkroom photography course in high school and I was the subject of her portraits. Following in my sister’s footsteps, I just couldn’t wait until I was old enough to take that same course. I was ready to learn the process, capture the perfect shot and develop my photos by hand. Darkroom photography can be such a foreign art in this digital age and I am constantly grateful for having been given the opportunity to learn this way.

Years later, I went to college majoring in Advertising and Communications while keeping my love alive for photography through a minor. Upon graduation, I took a variety of internships in New York City for a ton of reputable and amazing companies but my heart strings kept pulling me back to photography.

This leads me here, serving all of you! I took the leap to begin my own business and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this journey.

Other fun facts about me: I am a budding wine connoisseur, an ice cream fanatic, and a travel enthusiast. I grew up dancing and playing soccer and my coaches always told me I ran like a ballerina and my ballet instructors told me I jeté-ed like a soccer player. I absolutely love the outdoors and mountain landscapes inspire me. I love music and am just as happy listening to Lil Wayne as I am Frank Sinatra. I am just as much a leggings and sneakers girl as I am stilettos and ballgowns. And at my core, I believe I am a culmination of everyone I’ve met, everything I’ve seen, and everywhere I’ve been.
