Back in October, I had the unique pleasure of photographing the maternity session for these two sweethearts. Caitlin and Tyler were getting ready to welcome their very first little angel and I was so honored to capture all of their radiant excitement. If ya missed out on that, you can read about it here.

About two months later, this joy decided to enter the world on Christmas Day, no less! Baby Mila blessed their hearts, their home and their families on such a fruitful and gracious day and I could not be happier for them!

Walking into Caitlin and Tyler’s apartment for our newborn session last week, I was taken away by how effortlessly they dove into parenthood. I was in awe of the transformation in their personas, their love and their natural ability to form a bond with this sweet baby girl. The glow from Caitlin’s pregnancy was nowhere close to diminishing as she excitedly cooed Mila and showed me each new outfit and bow we were going to try out for the day. (*cue happy dance* for me, too, because I couldn’t WAIT to put this lil one into a TUTU!) And each time that Mila began to fuss, Tyler was quick to soothe the tears and held her as only daddy’s know how. Even more beautiful, though, were the glances between Caitlin and Tyler that only seemed to grow in depth and love as they looked to their baby girl with admiration and joyous disbelief.

Yes, you two, savor in this! Savor in these days, soak in these moments, share in these glances. My heart was bursting with happiness and gratitude to see this amazing couple turn into a family of three. And now, I can’t wait to share some of my favorites from their session!
