I first met Anna, geez, almost two years already when I worked in New York City!! (I can’t believe how fast time flies!) Working with Anna was always a pleasure! She is incredibly vivacious and such a bubbly presence to those around her! I was thrilled for her when she told me about her engagement to Spencer at our Christmas party that year. It was such a beautifully romantic story.
He proposed to her on a rooftop in Brooklyn in. the. snow.
Talk about jaw dropping!! Now, in a few short weeks Spencer and Anna will finally be married!
Bridal Shower in the West Village
Anna contacted me about a week before her bridal shower because she was torn about whether or not she wanted a photographer to document her day. But I’m so glad she did! It gave us a wonderful opportunity to reconnect. With that, I reminded her that this is the only time she’s going to be engaged. She and Spencer have been together for most of their adult life, but THIS is her time to be a fiancé! Soak that in, girl!
Her bridal shower was nothing short of…I believe the right word here is, ICONIC. Surrounded by so many close friends, it was heartwarming to see all the love and joy encompassing her that day.
Between strutting the NYC streets like the Beatles on Abbey Road with her bridesmaids to a personalized Cardi B inspired rap song devoted to her and Spencer – it was amazing.
Here are some of my favorite moments of her bridal shower, including my all time favorite “shoe-less” shower game!
Here’s the game I was referring to! To play, the bride and groom sit back to back and each take off their shoes. The bride hands one of her shoes to her fiancé, while her fiancé does the same with one of his shoes. The lovely Maid of Honor begins to ask the couple questions about each other and their relationship! For example, “who picks the music for a road trip?” “who is the better driver?” etc. The bride and groom each hold up the shoe of who they believe best fits the answer. It’s always so hilarious to see the opinions of the bride and groom!
